Watermelon Mojito

Watermelon juice on its own is already known to be a great drink in hydrating oneself, which feeling this summer heat seems to be an apt choice of beverage. It is also a great drink for weight loss, an amazing source for vitamin A, C,potassium and is anti-inflammatory. Which is why I decided to spruce this drink up for what I like to call tipsy tuesday's ;) 

Easy and quick, this baby is sure to get you into your vacay mood.

Prep time: 5 mins

What you need

  • 3 cups cubed watermelon
  • 1 TBSP agave nectar (or you can use honey)
  • juice of 2 lime
  • 6 TBSP white rum (or you can 4 TBSP vodka)
  • about 10 fresh mint leaves chopped
  • ice


  1. Blend the watermelon, agave nectar, and the juice of 1 lime. Blend completely. Strain twice through a fine mesh strainer, if you get some small chunks its ok. 

  2. In a shaker (or make-shift shaker) combine watermelon juice, rum, and mint leaves. Shake and pour over ice.

  3. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and watermelon.
