Berry Cherry Cocktail Slushie

So I know what it sounds like, so weird, a slushie and vodka?! Its pretty much a smoothie of sorts. To be fair its not really a smoothie, but rather a easy cocktail, using blueberry's and cherry, which are readily available this summer.

The sweetness of the Blueberries and the Cherry's means that there is no need for added sugars, making this solely dependent on natural flavors. Add a bit of lime juice and vodka to get that buzz going et voila! The main step in this to sieve our the chunks of the fruits so its not really a smoothie but rather a yummy summer cocktail.

Total time: 15mins

Serves: 3 - 4

  • 125g of Blueberry
  • 20 Cherries pitted
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1 Lime juice
  • 2 Shots Vodka - I used Grey Goose
  • 2 Cups of crushed ice
  • Mint leaves for garnish - optional

  1. Blend all the blueberry and cherry with water
  2. Sieve out the chunks - if there are a lot, blend it again with some water and sieve out to get the liquids
  3. Wash the blender out, after which blend the ice till crushed
  4. Mix the sieved liquids with lime juice and vodka
  5. Serve with ice or crushed ice
